    Engineering (ENG). “EU-CIP.” Accessed 13.08.2025. https://www.eucip.eu.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the grant agreement No 101073878.

The main goal of EU-CIP is to establish a novel pan European knowledge network for Resilient Infrastructures, which will enable policy makers to shape and produce data-driven evidence-based policies, while boosting the innovation capacity of Critical Infrastructures (CI) operators, authorities, and innovators (including SMEs).

In this direction, the partners have already established the European Cluster for Securing Critical infrastructures (ECSCI), which brings together 22 projects that collaborate in CI Resilience.

EU-CIP will leverage the capacity, organization, community, and achievements of the ECSCI cluster towards establishing an EU-wide knowledge network with advanced analytical and innovation support capabilities.

The European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) is honoured to announce that its 2025 Symposium and Annual Ceremony will take place at CERN, the world-renowned European laboratory for particle physics, on 17–18 December 2025. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Fabiola Gianotti, Director-General of CERN, and Dr. Charlotte Lindberg Warakaulle, Director for International Relations, for graciously hosting the Academy and welcoming EurASc Fellows to one of the most prestigious research institutions in the world. CERN’s mission is deeply rooted in fundamental science to reveal the mysteries of the origin of the universe and its evolution, with far-reaching cultural and societal impacts. From the invention of the World Wide Web, to breakthroughs in medical imaging technologies, and the foundational work behind quantum computing through Bell’s inequalities — CERN exemplifies how basic science can shape our future.

Dr. Magdalena SkipperEditor in Chief of Nature and Chief Editorial Advisor for the Nature Portfolio.

Webinar Title: “Leveraging ecosystems properties of the research enterprise to maximize value creation”

This session will offer a forward-looking perspective on the research community often refers to itself as an ecosystem and yet it fails to embrace the fundamental qualities that make an ecosystem healthy, robust and resilient to perturbations. Making the most of the rich diversity of stakeholders, and their unique contributions to the ecosystem, researchers can enhance the value of their output, the impact and relevance of their work, and enhance trust in science
